GMS Life Saving Rules

GMS Life Saving Rules are based on critical, industry-standard safety requirements and focus on high-risk activities to prevent serious and fatal injuries.

As a growing organization operating in challenging and inherently hazardous environments, GMS recognises that achieving this objective requires continuous improvement in safety performance. The Life Saving Rules empower workers with clear, practical actions they can directly control to protect themselves and others, while also establishing a common safety language across our operations and business partners to enhance consistency, learning, and effective implementation.

In support of this objective and our value of excellence, GMS has defined the following Life Saving Rules:

Bypassing Safety Controls
Energy Isolation
Hot Work
Safe Mechanical Lifting
Confined Space
Line of Fire
Work Authorisation
Working at Height
